History of the department

Everything started in the early 80s, when the subject "Basic of information" was introduced into the curriculum of Berezhany technical college of agriculture mechanization and electrification. MK-61 calculators were the only way of counting at that time. Thanks to the information science teachers Vysotskii R.K. and Moisiak I.M. a special class of calculators was created.

Later, a class based on PCs BC-0010 was created in college. This class worked until 1995 and made a very significant contribution to the study of computer science. In 1992 the administration of the college purchased simultaneously two computer classes. The class based on computers NBI-1041 and the class based on the domestic computer-EU 1841. Both classes are IBM-compatible on the basis Intel-8086 processor.

In 1994, thanks to friendly relations of the College with Ukrainian-Swiss Association, College has received computer lab consisting of 10 computers IBM (based on the Intel 8086) as the form of humanitarian assistance. In 1997 it was purchased six PC with Pentium I type, which became the basis for the modernization of the material base. At the same year the transition to the operating system Windows95 led to the complete replacement of software of subject "Informatics".

Further development of the institute as a college required the structure changing of the institution. The Department of Information Technology and Higher Mathematics was formed from cyclic commission and this department washeaded at different times by Sorokatii Iy.I.- Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Mykytiuk V.I.-Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences.

When studying subjects in information direct, the students study the following packages of information processing: the operating system Windows, office package: word processor, spreadsheets, making of multimedia presentations, 1C "Accounting", ParusUkraine, programming language C ++, mathematical processor MathCAD, creating of Web -pages in HTML, network technologies.
